Itinerary
- Day 1 - Depart New York for Belgium.
- Day 2 - Brussels: Arrive in Brussels, the capital of Belgium and transfer on your own to your hotel. This 1,000-year-old city offers an unusual mix of Flemish and Walloon cultures. You can explore on your own or take optional tours available for purchase at the hotel's concierge desk. Lunch and dinner are on your own.
- Day 3 - Brussels: The main sights in Brussels include St. Michael's Cathedral and the famous Grand Place in the heart of the city. It is here that the early 15th century Gothic-style Town Hall and the Maison du Roi are located. Visit the world-famous Manneken Pis, a little boy mocking all things prudish and a symbol of Brussels. Today you can explore on your own or take an optional guided morning tour of Brussels. Make sure to try some of Belgium's excellent ales and foods, as well as visit one Brussels numerous nightclubs and jazz clubs. (Breakfast)
- Day 4 - Brussels: After breakfast, you can explore some of Brussels many fine museums on your own. Visit the Museum Voor Moderene Kunst, located on Place Royale, with no less than eight floors underground, this Museum of Modern Art was constructed around a light shaft that allows daylight to filter down. Or visit Grote Markt/Grand Palace, which has been called the most splendid market square in Europe. Or, see La Grand-Place, a remarkably homogeneous body of public and private buildings, dating mainly from the late 17th century. The architecture provides a vivid illustration of the level of social and cultural life of the period in this important political and commercial centre. (Breakfast)
- Day 5 - Brussels/U.S.: After breakfast transfer on your own to the airport for your return flight home. (Breakfast)
