Club ABC Tours staff visited Egypt earlier this year. They inspected the very hotels we offer to you, toured the attractions and experienced the local culture. It was a trip to remember! They shared their experience with the rest of staff so all of us at Club ABC can share that knowledge with you.
Here a few useful tips from our travelers for your trip to Egypt.
Plan on riding a camel when going to see the pyramids? Be sure to wear slacks/pants, not shorts. And be prepared - they do smell a bit strong.
Wear sunglasses while riding a camel. The glasses will help with the sun glare off the sand and help keep the sand out of your eyes.
The laser light show at the pyramids is not to be missed. The commentary is offered in different languages; check the schedule ahead of time to ensure the commentary is in the language of your choice.
The Egyptian Museum closes early. It is only open from 9 AM - 2 PM. Get there early to see the gold mask of King Tut. Be prepared to pay a nominal additional fee (on top of the minimal entrance fee) to use your camera or video-camera in the museum. The nominal fee is well worth it to get your picture taken with a mummy.
Buy. Buy. Buy. Head to the Khan el-Khalili, one of the world's oldest bazaars, for jewelry, spices, perfume and cloth.
Deal or No Deal? Always bargain at the bazaar. Offer half of the first price and go from there. Try the next shop over if the price isn't in your ballpark.
Keep in the bargaining spirit if hauling a taxi. Negotiate the price for your ride before you get in.
Convert your dollars into Egyptian pounds right at the airport. Don't forget to convert them back before you head home.
