What can I expect on an ESCORTED Tour?
Escorted tours are perfect for travelers that like all the details of their vacation planned ahead of time and enjoy traveling in a group setting. Everything is taken care and these tours generally include air, hotel, transfers, some meals and tours as well the services of a professional tour director. You travel in the company of like-minded members and most importantly, your itinerary is well planned, making the most of your vacation time. Since many features are included, Escorted tours are the most cost effective type of package giving you the most for your vacation dollar. Children under 8 are not permitted on this type of tour.

Who should go on an INDEPENDENT Tour?
An Independent tour is a great travel experience for those who prefer to go-on-their-own. You explore at your own pace, when you want to and where you want. These tours generally include air and accommodations (hotel or cruise) only, and do not feature a local host. Meals are on your own, so you have the most flexibility with dining as you desire. Optional tours, if available, can be arranged directly at the hotel, ship or resort. Our popular Italy Fly & Drive programs and Quick Trips are Independent, as well as our cruise specials and Caribbean resorts programs, allowing you to benefit from the value of a Club ABC Tours trip with the freedom to create your own dream vacation!

What is a HOSTED tour?
Can’t decide between an Escorted or Independent tour? Then consider a Hosted tour – it’s the ideal choice. They offer the cost savings of group travel and the comfort of a local resource but with more freedom to explore on your own. A Hosted tour includes a local host who is available at designated times during your trip to arrange optional tours, provide dining recommendations, and handle transfer inquiries.

How can I tell the type of tour and what it includes?
Each tour is designated ESCORTED, HOSTED or INDEPENDENT in the brochure itinerary information (listed just below the tour length and “from” price). Each tour also includes a list of all included features under “What’s Included.” We strongly suggest that you carefully review this section to ensure this is the right trip for you.
