Escorted
Escorted tours include the services of a professional tour director throughout the program as indicated in your itinerary. Children under eight years old are not permitted on these tours.
Hosted
Hosted tours include a local host who is available at designed times during your trip to arrange optional tours, provide recommendations on dining, and handle transfer inquiries.
Locally Hosted
Locally Hosted tours include local guides throughout your stay in each city.
Independent
These go-on-your-own vacation packages generally include air and accommodations (hotel or cruise) only. They do not feature a local host.
Cruise
Cruises are independent packages unless noted otherwise and are either cruise-only, or combined with air and/or land components.
Cooking
These tours are for culinary enthusiasts. In many of these programs participation is limited to 25 or less for a more personal experience while you enjoy working with the chefs, visiting local markets and dining on the fruits of your labor. Of course you get the behind-the-scenes cooking instruction of the country and locals. An experience to be enjoyed by the novice or expert cooking aficionado.
Cruise/Barge
Whether you are an old sea-hand or first-time cruiser there is something for everyone onboard a cruise ship. Club ABC Tours partners with the finest cruise lines and barge providers. Culture/Art/Theater
These tours can include theater tickets, museum visits or special cultural experiences. From opera performances to local festivals to special art exhibits and more. Entrance fees are usually included in the tour price.
Fly & Drive/Rail
These popular tours are for the more independent traveler with a spirit of adventure. With more free time to explore on your own you’ll either travel by train between destinations or your package will include the use of a rental car for the ultimate go-at-your-own-pace vacation.
Go-Any-Day
These programs are flexible and convenient. Departures are available any day of the week.
Heritage
These programs have a component of the tour that possess either religious, cultural or national significance (e.g. Jewish/Christian). You’ll not only have an overall destination experience but your trip will be highlighted with visits to sites of particular interest. Please be advised these tours may not account for any dietary or religious observances during your trip.
Historic
These packages usually have some historic component to the land or sights you’ll be visiting. Travel back in time to ancient lands or view sights that have special historical significance. No matter the destination, you’ll pick up a better appreciation of the past whether it’s from the Far-East to the Middle-East, from ancient cultures to preserved European treasures.
Honeymoon
Honeymoon packages feature beautiful scenery, romantic destinations and more.
Motorcoach
Motorcoach tours are perfect for people who want to maximize their vacation time and not have to worry about planning and logistical details. Most tours include a tour director to guide and assist you on the trip. For some it’s the most convenient way to see as much as possible and many times baggage handling is included so you don’t have to worry about constantly carrying your luggage.
Multi-city
Multi-city tours visit two or more cities. Cities may be in the same country (e.g. Rome, Florence and Venice) or multiple countries (e.g. Prague and Budapest). These tours combine and capture the diversity of sights and experiences from two or more destinations in a program that has been carefully tested for the best planning and touring experience at an outstanding value.
Nature/Eco-tourism
These tours have some component with a nature or eco-tourism feature. From the treetop canopies of the Costa Rican rainforest to the up-close sightings of the unique species on the Galapagos Islands. These packages are for the novice and experienced nature enthusiasts alike.
Quick Trip
These tours are four nights or less in duration. They are usually independent style and perfect for a quick getaway when time is tight.
Shopping
Everyone loves to bring home memories of their travel abroad. These tours have opportunities for some retail therapy. From upscale shopping to bargaining negotiations you’ll be sure to come home with something that tells a story.
Sightseeing
These packages generally have a worthwhile portion of the tour with sightseeing opportunities. Most escorted tours have these opportunities included in the itinerary and on Hosted or Independent packages sightseeing options can be purchased separately.
Spa/Luxury
Components of these tours either include the ability to indulge in a spa treatment (at extra cost) or include some element of the trip with an extra-ordinary level of service or luxury.
Sun/Beach
These packages run the gamut for those looking for anything from a calming seaside holiday to a fun in the sun vacation. Hotel accommodations range from first class hotels to all-Inclusive deluxe resorts on the beach.
Women Only
These tour packages are for women only and range from three days to three weeks in length. They include cultural, adventure, spiritual and spa experiences.
