- Day 1 - Depart the U.S. for Spain.
- Day 2 - Madrid: Arrive in Madrid, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain; a city characterized by it's intense cultural and artistic activity as well as its pulsating nightlife. Transfer to your hotel. This afternoon take a tour of the city. This Jewish Highlights Tour of Spain offers an intimate exploration of the rich cultural heritage. Over the next nine days you will visit many of the important Jewish sites in Spain, as well as some of Spain's best-loved sites. Daily buffet breakfast included at your hotel, other meals are on your own. While special meals are not arranged on this tour, your local guide can give you recommendations for local restaurants. (No Breakfast included on Day 2).
- Day 3 - Madrid/Segovia/Madrid: After breakfast depart for your tour of the old Castilian town of Segovia. Visit the still functioning, spectacular Roman Aqueduct, built in the year 211 A.D., it is made from 20,400 stone blocks and is not united by mortar or concrete. Visit the Jewish Quarter and Alcazar; Spain's most famous castle, built during the Middle Ages the monarchs of Castile made the Alcazar a frequent place of residence. The Castle was a key fortress for the control over Castile. Return to Madrid. (Breakfast)
- Day 4 - Madrid/Toledo/Madrid: This morning depart Madrid for Toledo, the imperial city surrounded by the Tagus River. Your tour guide will walk you through this informative tour detailing Toledo's importance to both Jewish and Spanish history. Visit the Jewish Quarter, the Great Synagogue, now the Santa Maria La Blanca Church, and the Transito Synagogue as well as the Sephardic Museum and the El Greco House. Return in the afternoon to Madrid. (Breakfast)
- Day 5 - Madrid/Cordoba: After breakfast transfer by motor coach to Cordoba, once the seat of Jewish culture in the 10th century, and one time home of the Jewish sage, Maimonides. Tour Cordoba, one of the best-preserved Jewish quarters and where the three faiths are masterfully represented: Judaism with its synagogue and Christianity with its cathedral built within the beautiful Muslim Mezquita (mosque). Take a walk through the Mezquita, an 8th century mosque, now the "Cathedral-Mosque" and a museum. Visit the Jewish Quarter, including "Calle los Judios", and the Synagogue. (Breakfast)
- Day 6 - Cordoba/Granada: Depart Cordoba and drive to Granada. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. Tonight dinner is at the hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 7 - Granada: Today, take a guided tour of the "Alhambra", a fortified palatine city of the 13th to 15th century. Built by the Nazarite Kings, which also includes its Alcazaba Citadel and the Palaces of "Los Leones" and "Comares"; the Generalife, a summer residence set in beautiful gardens; the so-called Royal Room of Santo Domingo, built in the orchards of Almanxarra and the Palace of Alcazar Genil used by the Nazarite Queens. The Palace of Charles V, designed in 1526 by Pedro Machuca in the heart of the Alhambra as a symbol of new power, is the most outstanding Renaissance work in Granada. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. (Breakfast, Dinner)
- Day 8 - Granada/Barcelona: After breakfast transfer to Granada airport for your flight to Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Catalunya. Barcelona is Spain's second largest city and an important Mediterranean port. This coastal capital of Catalonia is on the forefront of Europe's modern architecture and design. Upon arrival, you will be met by your local Club ABC representative and transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at your leisure to explore on your own. Be sure to visit the city's renowned Gothic Quarter with its narrow alleys and well-preserved medieval buildings, the Ramblas, site of the Ancient city walls is now home to unique markets and shops. The unusual architecture of Antonio Gaudi, which blends neo-gothic, Moorish, and Art Nouveau styles stands as a symbol of this delightful city. - Day 9 - Barcelona: This morning enjoy a city tour of Barcelona. Visit the Gothic Quarters, Las Ramblas and the amazing park Guell, one of Gaudi's most colorful and playful works. The gardens, built between 1900-1914 are a World Heritage Site. Return to the city this afternoon and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. (Breakfast)
- Day 10 - Barcelona/Girona/Barcelona: Today after breakfast, depart for a full day tour to Girona, once home to some of Spain's most prosperous Jewish communities. Highlights include the Museum of the History of the Jews and the Nachmanides Institute for Jewish Studies. Return to Barcelona for overnight. (Breakfast)
- Day 11 - Barcelona/U.S.: Early this morning transfer to the airport for your return flight home. (Breakfast)
