Know Before You Go: Travel Tips

We all love to travel but many of us aren’t as diligent about dealing with all those last-minute details before we leave. Well, stress no more. Our membership services team has compiled a helpful checklist to ensure a great vacation!

Travel Essentials For Your Next Club ABC Tours Trip
1. Check the latest Travel Advisory. For the most up-to-date information on security guidelines, baggage and carry-on restrictions, please consult the Travel Security Administration at www.tsa.gov or 866-289-9673 and the airline directly.

2. Get a passport! Make sure to provide Club ABC Tours your “official” name on your passport.

3. Check the expiration date on your passport. Many countries now require passports to be valid up to six months after your return date.

4. Immediately upon receiving trip confirmation, carefully check itinerary to make sure name and address (all details) are correct. Contact Club ABC Tours right away with any changes. Also, update your Personal Information Form and return promptly to Club ABC Tours.

5. Make sure you’re covered. Buy the Travel Protection Plan offered or check to see if your insurance company covers you abroad.

6. Just in case. Make copies of your passport and leave along with itinerary with a trusted friend or family member.

7. Contract airline about luggage weight restrictions. Due to increased carry-on restrictions, some airlines will allow
additional checked luggage.

8. Get an ATM card from your bank; it is easier to use than travelers checks. Contact your bank to verify that your Personal Information Number (PIN) is valid out of the country and check about ATM fees.

9. Make copies of any medical prescriptions you are planning to take along. Pack the copies in your suitcase. Make sure to pack any medication in your carry-on.

10. Check your electronic equipment, including digital cameras and IPODs, to make sure you have proper adapters or converters.
